The demonstrate camera was online from 1 September - 15 October 2004. The goal of our installation has been to make people think about privacy in public spaces in conjunction with the 40th Anniversary of the Free Speech Movement at Berkeley. The installation demonstrated recent advances in technology to over 4000 people and sparked dialogue within and beyond campus. The project was exhibited at the Whitney Museum's Artport website and supported by special lectures, a table on Sproul Plaza, flyers, and emails. Although the camera will be off, we look forward to continuing the dialogue and will maintain a project archive on the demonstrate website. Thanks to everyone who participated.
